$375,000 Worth of The Reader's Edge® Software Donated to Reader To Reader Amherst, MA – February 6, 2006 – The Literacy Company, based in Scottsdale, Arizona, has generously donated over $375,000 worth of The Reader's Edge® Fluent Reading Software to Reader To Reader, Inc., a literacy organization in Amherst, Massachusetts. The software will be supplied by Reader To Reader free of charge to under-resourced schools throughout the United States. “This is the largest software donation we have ever received. It will bring hundreds of thousands of dollars of The Reader's Edge software to poor schools and it couldn’t be more timely,” said David Mazor, founder and Executive Director of Reader To Reader. “These schools are clamoring for resources that will help their students boost their reading levels and they are very enthusiastic about receiving The Reader's Edge software. We want to thank Richard Sutz, President and CEO of The Literacy Company, for his heartfelt concern for the welfare of these very poorest of America’s children.” The Reader's Edge®, is a self-paced software program that teaches students how to unlearn the habits of slow readers and learn the habits and skills of Fluent Readers.
